Between 02-05 June 2022, the International Summit on products with geographical indication took place in Batumi, Georgia. The event was organized by the Batumi International Business Development and Investment Promotion Center within the Black Sea Basin Geographical Indications Network project, BS GIN, BSB 1191. The event was attended by representatives of the partner countries in the project (Turkey, Romania, Georgia), representatives of local authorities in Georgia, of the business environment, universities, associations/organizations, etc.
During the event, discussions were held regarding rural economic development and the concept of geographical indication, the stages for obtaining GI certification, products with geographical indication from the partner countries in the project were presented. After the completion of the Summit, the participating delegations visited the KTW wine factory, the Chateau Iveri winery and the Kerki dried fruit factory.

On April 29, 2022, the Galati Geographical Indications Summit organized by the Tehnopol Galati Association within the project "Black Sea Basin Geographical Indications Network / Geographical Indications in the Sea Basin Network" took place at the conference hall of the Razvan Angheluta Natural Sciences Museum Complex in Galati Negre" BS GIN, BSB 1191, project financed by the European Union through the Joint Operational Program "Black Sea Basin" 2014 - 2020.

Also during the event were presented aspects related to European legislation in the field, the new systems for establishing product traceability, the stages that must be completed in the certification of a product, but also the presentation of examples of good practices, some of them with direct reference to the products in the exhibition.
