Goat cheese
from Stejaru

In Northern Dobrogea, almost 90 kilometers from Constanta and about 60 kilometers from Tulcea, is the village of Stejaru, the place where a community of Aromanians lives, most of them shepherds of sheep and goats. Their ancestors, Bijduven Aromanians, with herds of sheep and many horses, passed through Quadrilater and then reached these lands. Today, their occupation is raising animals, with the help of which they manage to produce tasty, traditional dishes that can only be found in their region. In their households, they produce countless goodies from goats: milk, yogurt and various cheeses. They are proud to have managed to certify the cheese from their village as a traditional product. In this way I give recognition to Dobrogea.
